THE SIMS 3

The Sims 3 is the third installment in The Sims franchise, released by Electronic Arts in 2009. The Sims 3 is notable for its open world and Create a Style functions, and it is the first to introduce traits, replacing the personality point function in prior games, and moodlets, giving Sims more life and emotion. In more recent years, the game is also known for its humorous patch notes. The Sims 3 has 11 expansion packs and 9 stuff packs released between 2009 and 2013.

Aside from that, The Sims 3 is probably my favorite game. I've been playing it for over ten years now, and though nearly everything about it is written in my DNA, I still find ways to discover new things about it. I've been playing it for so long that I can anticipate every voice line, every action, every sound effect, and have all of the music memorized.

My favorite expansion pack is Seasons, as it usually is with every Sims game. I play a lightweight download most of the time, of which I currently only have Ambitions enabled. I normally play a generational, maybe "legacy" way, I love the gameplay of raising a family. I do think that The Sims 4 improved build mode quite a bit (mostly with being able to move placed rooms) but I love building houses from existing floor plans in 3.
